These are Mackerel Milt.
Milt or soft roe is the seminal fluid of Fish.
Rinsed Milt and than dry with kitchen paper towel.
Season with all purpose seasoning.
Place Milt on a metal plate and steam till fully cooked.
Due to soft texture of these milts, it’s best to steam than to pan fry them.
The steamed Mackerel Milts ready to be served.
The taste of Milt is subtle, slight sweetness and just the faintest hint of its oceanic roots.
The steamed Milt served with a bowl of hot porridge and Garoupa fish slices.
