Fish roe contains healthful unsaturated fatty acids including Omega-3 which helps to reduce inflammation and protect the brain and other bodily systems from the effects of oxidative damage.
Each type of roe has its own distinctive flavours.
My favourite roe for panfrying is still the roe from Mackerel fish.
Simply panfry until its golden brown and crispy.
However, roe may be high in cholesterol but occasionally intake it ok.
A nutritious treat, ideal ingredient as appetisers or goes well with a hot bowl of porridge.
