These flat, narrow grass-like leaf commonly known as Chinese chives are cultivated for culinary uses.
These garlic Chives produced lightly scented white flowers. Ku Chye known locally can be used on their own way for a simple tasty dish.
Those from supermarket are packed like this.
How about Stir-Fry Garlic Chives with Beehoon.
Simple to cook, just turn up the heat to high, add a bunch of chopped Garlic Chives and stir fry for a minute.
How do you know the chives are cooked? Once the vegetable are wilted.
To brighten this dish and added more flavour, I have added Cordyceps Flowers.
Just rinsed a bundle of dry Cordyceps Flowers and add into the soaked Beehoon.
Include seasonings by adding, superior light soy sauce, sesame oil and Chinese cooking wine and chicken stock.
Cook till the Beehoon is well incorporated with the seasoning.
Best to serve this dish while it’s hot.
